As some of you may know, Google bought out Blogger years ago. I’ve been using Blogger to run my blogs/websites since 2002. Being a fan of Google, I didn’t mind…until now.

Google claims that they can no longer support FTP uploads, that their new code doesn’t permit it. I was under the impression that all websites use FTP? Anyway Google says that we have two options if we wish to keep our blogs on blogger:

A) switch to the free, but unprofessional yournamehere.blogspot.com

B) you use your site, but something is odd about it. Mine would be BLOG.maystarparties.com or there may be a way to keep it at maystarparties.com BUT, somehow Google takes your domain name so that any file hosted at maystarparties.com/photos (or ANYWHERE else on the site except the Google run blog) would no longer be there…. something strange like that. Whatever Google/blogger is doing seems to be making everything link to them in some way or another, and therefore, the reason you haven’t seen any new pictures in awhile is because, after 8 years of using Blogger, I am now being forced to move over to WordPress, as Google ended Blogger’s FTP access May 1st. (/End run-on sentence.)

I’m almost done switching my code over to php and working out the bugs, so expect to see pictures in about 2 weeks!

See you guys tonight at Fashion Whore! I’m going to bed now, at last….8:47 am.
